Library Geology/Paleontology
Geology Building, Nussallee 8, 53115 Bonn, Germany
The Geology/Palaeontology Library in the Geology building (Nußallee 8) is closed with immediate effect due to upcoming renovation work. The library will remain closed for at least 2 years.
The textbook collection of the Geology/Palaeontology Library has been moved to the Library Mineralogy in the Poppelsdorfer Schloss (Meckenheimer Allee 169, Room 2.127) due to the refurbishment. Unfortunately, the Library Mineralogy is currently not open due to staff shortages and the textbook collection is not available for the time being.

Library Mineralogy
at the Poppelsdorfer Schloss, 53115 Bonn
The library owns numerous mineralogical and petrological journals, series and monographs. The library is a reference library. This means that books and journals can only be borrowed by employees of the Institute of Geosciences. Other persons may consult the works in the library. Inspection of master's and bachelor's theses is only possible with the consent of the supervisors and graduates of the corresponding theses.

Literature on meteorology and climatology
Library Meteorology
Meteorology Building, Auf dem Hügel 20, 53121 Bonn, Germany
The library of the Meteorology Department of the Institute of Geosciences at the University of Bonn has existed since 1961 and was founded by Prof Dr Hermann Flohn. The literature holdings are tailored to the teaching and the respective research specialisations of the Department of Meteorology. The library is run as a reference library with open access to the literature.
