"This module consists of lectures, research seminars, and exercises on topics related to geochemical modeling, fluid mechanics, and microfluidics, as well as a visit to the Nuclear Waste Management - Institute for Energy and Climate Research, Forschungszentrum Jülich. Practical examples tackled include the thermodynamics of solid solutions and the kinetics of mineral crystallization and dissolution. Case studies based on published experimental work will give the students the opportunity to use models as a tool to interpret experimental observations".
