Master in Bonn (International students)

You want to apply for a Master program in Bonn and would like to study Geology and/or Geochemistry?

Application requirements

  1. Bachelor University Degree (in Geosciences or familiar studies) must have been completed with an overall grade of at least "good (2,5)" or equivalent
  2. Proven good knowledge of English (at least level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages GeR) e.g., high school diploma, TOEFL, IELTS)
  3. Sufficient German language proficiency (only required at date of enrollment)

The following German language certificates are generally accepted:

  • DSH 2
    • Fee: ~140€
    • Applicants from non-EU states can only sit the DSH at the University of Bonn after they have been granted admission to the University of Bonn!

Please always check if these certificates also apply to your specific application, since information could be outdated!

Application process

The online application process for the winter term starts on June 1st and ends on July 15th.
The online application process for the summer term starts on December 1st and ends on January 15th.
